Yes, Anne, I had a long conversation with Amy about an idea for my 151 class and I'd like to set up a rather specific library instruction (or two!) with you.  In short, I'd like the students to do some historical research using quality secondary sources to get a framework of a particular time period and the various social pressures and movements that might have effected someone like them in that time period.  And, then I'd like them to search the NYTimes archives to get a sense of how these issues were talked about then -- both in terms of news and perhaps opinion peices.

I am hoping to set this up for the first week of April, if possible.  The class is ENG 151 and meets from 12:20 to 2:15 on T/TH.  (Section 17703)
